questions & answers

Where are you located and is there parking?

  • 2608 Columbia Ave in Lancaster, PA near Rohrerstown Road.
There’s a parking lot directly in front of the shop.

Why can’t I get tattooed?

There are several reasons why I may not be able to tattoo you including:

  • If you’re under 18—I don’t tattoo minors even with parental consent

  • If you’re pregnant or nursing

  • If you’ve had alcohol within 24 hrs of arriving—alcohol is a blood thinner & makes it more difficult to tattoo you

  • If you have a fever or are feeling sick—your body is going to do enough work trying to heal your new tattoo. You need to feel fully well to do so

  • If you plan on swimming or are going on a sunny vacation within 2 weeks after your appointment

  • If your tattoo idea goes against my beliefs (tarot cards, crystals, unalomes, astrology signs, witches, goddesses/gods, horror characters). I have artists I can respectfully recommend to you instead

How should I prepare for my appointment?

  • Bring cash with you to pay your remaining balance

  • Be sure to eat a full meal before coming in. Not eating may cause lightheadedness or feeling sick during your tattoo

  • Bring a phone charger & headphones for longer sessions

  • Wear something you won't care for if ink accidentally gets on you

  • Yes you can bring bring your friends! No one under 18 is permitted

  • Don’t arrive earlier or later than 10 minutes

Can I see the design before my appointment?
What if I don’t like what you drew?

  • Because of my schedule I draw the night before & sometimes the morning of, so unfortunately I can’t offer to show designs ahead of time

  • If you have a larger project & want to make minor changes to the design, we can do so during your appt. If you don’t like it overall, we’d reschedule so I can draw something new. However, providing plenty of references allows me to get a physical understanding of your idea so I can draw something you’ll love

What should I expect when I arrive?

  • When walking in, you’ll be greeted & ushered to the waiting area. At that time, you can connect to the free wifi, make yourself a cup of coffee, grab a snack, & relax!

  • When called over, your skin will be prepped & a stencil will be applied. This is the paper that transfers the design on you which I’d tattoo. Once dry, we get to work!

Is this shop only for Christians?
I thought Christians don’t believe in tattoos?

  • No. Sacred Yes is a space where everyone should feel welcomed as soon as they enter the door, regardless of differences. Classifying as a Christian studio isn’t to exempt anyone but instead let you know you’ll receive a different experience, in the best way possible. My heart is that you’d feel the Love I pray to be felt when coming in—that’s it

  • Tattooing & beliefs: every Christian holds their own conviction. If I felt God was convicting me in this area, I wouldn’t have a shop. On the contrary, I believe He uses this to reach people who’ve had a bad taste of Christianity

Are you going to shove Jesus down my throat if
I book with you?

  • No, friend & I’m sorry if that’s ever been your experience. While you’ll notice Jesus elements through out the shop, I actually never talk religion unless my client mentions it first. I’m always down to answer any questions & even pray for you if you ask but I’m also down to not talk about it at all. I just want to give you a tattoo you’ll love in a space that is blessed

I’ve resent my email & called the shop with no response. Do you not want to tattoo me?

  • I reply to emails in order received which means if you resend yours, it goes to the top of my inbox. So, every time you resend, it gets further away from me seeing it so don’t resend it! I will reply but due to the amount of inquiries I receive, it may take up to 12 weeks. Please don’t take the delay personally

  • If I don’t feel confident in taking on projects, I’ll let you know & even recommend an artist who may better suite you. I want you to receive the best tattoo possible!

  • As far as calling—I answer calls during normal business hours. If no one is answering, you may be calling outside those hours, which is listed at the bottom of this page, or I might’ve stepped out. Do not leave messages on the answering machine—use email for any questions or inquires
